Mariëlle comes from an entrepreneurial family and grew up helping her parents run their store.

Avi was born in Chennai (previously Madras), a bustling city on the south-eastern coast of India. He fought his family’s need to mould him into a Software Engineer and joined ad school thinking he could draw, but emerged out of those portals thinking he could write. That was back in ’97 and since then he has indulged in ‘play’ disguised as ‘work’ a.k.a. advertising.

A multi-award winning Copywriter, Avi has been lucky that the big, bad world of advertising has helped him move from Chennai to Bangalore, Bombay, Dubai and now Amsterdam.
Along the way he has helped a shirt brand sell more off their hangers, increased foot-fall in the world’s largest mall, helped families choose the right diaper and detergent, sold cheese, lots of cheese, launched an airline, added noodles to the Indian cuisine and scooters to the Indian streets, inspired women to choose Platinum jewelry and men to buy a second watch, and has used his skill to create pro-bono campaigns for multiple charities.
His mother agrees that this is so much better than being a Software Engineer.
In 2007, Avi left the Dubai desert for the canals of Amsterdam. He’s currently surrounded by 6-foot plus Dutchies, and lives with his wife and a trustworthy bicycle.
